Default New owner question for my B7

I just picked up my 2005.5 A4 Quatro. I had a stupid question, in a few weeks i want to change to HID's and change the headlights to the LED type. When i search should i be searching for the 2006 ones or what does anyone suggest. Bc most of the time with 2005 it's showing the B6 model.

I traded in my 2004 VW Touareg for this and seems nice so far. And love the fact that it's a 6spd manual.

There are several aftermarket LED headlights for our cars. Dectane seems to be fairly popular. Alternatively, you could swap to OEM HID. Take some time to see what other people have done to their cars before you jump into it.

Thanks I greatly appreciate it. I had an issue with the backseat not latching but took mechanism apart like someone said on a threat here, did nothing but put it back together and its working perfect now, thank God.

Only issue i have is the rear window disable button from the driver side master control won't turn off. So the back seat windows are disabled unless i hold down the "window safety button". I'm gonna swing by dealership to see if they can replace that for me monday.

Thanks again for the quick reply.

Sounds like my car! I think that was probably my thread about the back seat latch and my window safety switch is broken as well. The dealership I go to wants around $260 to fix it. It's about $70 (their price) for the part and 1.5 hours labor. You can buy the part online for around $60 and do it yourself if you want to save $200. It just involves taking the door panel apart (I plan on doing it myself, but haven't had the time yet).

I actually fixed the back seat. Weird enough i dont know what i did to fix it. I took the torx screw (or whatever it's called) and the phillips screw out like another threat suggested. I took off both and compared them and they looked the same, put it back together and it works perfect now. Not sure what was messed up, but it's all good now thankfully.

Tomorrow the dealer is calling me back about the master window switches with the rear window lock button on it. Looks like a cheaper part, like around 60 bucks. Told them i'll pay for the part and they can install it for free, after all i bought the car a day ago. LOL. Love it so far though.
