Off the line chip performance
Anyone have some real life numbers on how much a chip (APR or REVO) effects the off the line performance of a 2.0T? The car has great pickup once the turbo kicks in, but off the line from a standstill, the car is a big sluggish. Anyone have actual performance numbers instead of just theoretical curves and dyno results? Thanks.
I have a REVO chip and everything else stock and im pushing 255hp/268trq. I cant find the dyno paper but that is what the dyno showed. If you get your car chipped you will love it. I cant gun it the same way as before without burning out.
I've heard great things about the REVO one, but my only requirement is that I'm able to switch between the stock program and the flashed program, and its my understanding that with the REVO one I have to purchase an additional hardware switch, instead of with the APR one that I'm able to change in car with the in dash screen.
The guys who did my REVO here in colorado are great. Even if I need my software updated during a service at the dealership and the REVO is no longer activated, I can just bring it in to them and they reprogram it for free and it takes only 10 minutes or so ; )
