does anyone know if it is easier to change the oil yourself.?. never changed it.. but i didnt no if it was a pain in the *** or not. didnt no what exaclty involved .. any info.

 

It's not particularly difficult but certainly not easier than the dealership or a specialy shop doing so. I change my own at the interim intervals between the AudiCare, mostly just because I like tinkering around cars, but again, it's not easier than having a shop do it, not to mention you have to properly dispose of the used oil (most places that sell oil will take used oil).

I just changed my oil for the first time (actually, first time for any car!) following the DIY jagtoes linked above. It took me a couple hours, but wasn't especially difficult.

 

Well done! You've now learned a little more about automotives and have the satisfaction of a job done yourself. The next time won't take you nearly as long.
