P0301, worth just doing coil packs/plugs?
Hi, my A4 2.0T B7 2006 just hit 121k miles and is due for an oil change anyway. Last night, while accelerating hard, the MIL started flashing for about 5 seconds, then went solid. I pulled over and ran Movi Pro and saw Error P0301: Cylinder 1 misfire.
I was wondering if I should just buy a set of coil packs and spark plugs online and do the replacement myself (I've never done this before, and don't really have a place to do it, but it doesn't sound too hard), or if I should buy the parts online and take them to my local independent shop, or just take it to the independent shop. I like the work the indy shop does, but they had really expensive coil packs when it got replaced under recall about 50k miles ago, so I'm not sure what their normal prices would be. It looks like $120 to buy them online.
Seems to be running fine.
