"Passenger airbag off" light is on when there is a passenger

My friend was on the passenger seat but the "passenger airbag off" light was one.
My friend weights around 110lbs so it should be enough weight to be detected as a passenger.
Anyone knows about this?

Hi.
Is there a key switch in the glovebox and is it def turned on? There's a pressure sensor in the seat, so when it detects a pssenger it could be highlighting the fact that the key switch for the pass airbag is off.

not sure about the key switch but I'm betting the sensor in the seat is culprit. if you can, check around under there, maybe its lose or got unplugged or maybe it's just bad altogether. Let us know what you find!
