I think it's funny when people say "I just took it to the dealer and they changed every part and now it's fine". A good mechanic changes what is necessary to change. I went to a dealer to get an 1157 bulb for my Dad's Nissan and they said that they only change "every bulb in the car at once". At the end of the day it's your car, so do what you like. Dealers can make some people feel that "they know and you don't" and some how you've leased ownership. I don't care if someone buys a Rolls Royce and puts side pipes on it. It's their car to decide what they want to do with it. A BMW dealer was plowing snow in the lot with a snowblower with a 1949 Steyr Puch snow blower. I said "Wow it still works?" and he answered, "It's just a machine".
