Default Podi Boost Gauge Problems

Hi Guys,

I was wondering if i could get some help. I recently bought a Podi boost gauge for my 2006 A4 2.0T quattro . Mounted and hooked everything up but cant get it to actually read anything. I have been working with a motorsports shop to try and troubleshoot, but they cant seem to figure it out either. I hooked a autometer up real quick to see if everything was connected right and it was working perfectly. The Podi comes with a remote (friggin stupid, to adjust brightness, color etc.) I havent had any success setting anything up though. When i turn my car on it runs the start up with the meter winding all the way up to 30psi then all the way to the bottom. Then it just stays there and does nothing. A couple days before it was geeking out and it was reading all over the place flipping back and forth like crazy. If anyone has any experience with Podi i would appreciate the help. Thanks.

is your vaccumn hose being pinched at all and is your tap done correctly? im assuming yes because you had a shop look at it .....so my thoughts are its broken send it back im sure it doesn't happen often but its not out of the question....also if your line is pinched its not going to read correctly

yeah everything looks good... do you have one yourself? do you know if Podi has had reliability issues. I was thinking that the solenoid was busted or not working properly. thanks for the response.

boost guages dont run off of solenoids tho its all vacumn pressure that lets the needle float, either you have a boost leak, the tap and hose is busted, or the guage itself is shitty(bad model) but really you only have three options

honestly walmrt sells dirt cheap boost guages its almost worth it to get it, hook up the same wires see if u get the same result or different to figure out if the guage is messed up or the install went wrong, then when ur done just return the cheap guage back to walmart
