Quattro vs. FWD Performance
Well torque steer can be an issue with mine if I did not know how to accelerate since I have a 6sp manual tranny. As far as weight, yes these cars (and most modern small executive cars) are heavy. Add Quattro and you have more. The B8 was listed when it first came out (here in Germany Sept 2007) as being lighter than the A4 B7. That has since changed, if you check out the weight between the 2 models, you will see that the A4 B8 2.0T weighs as much and sometimes more than the older B7. If you are looking for flat out performance from an Audi, (for a manageable price) I would suggest getting a TT, these are just a blast to drive. I test drove a German TTS with 272hp 0-100 (62mph) 5.4s and a top speed was 270kmh (165mph w/governor) great car and lots of fun. Even the std 2.0T 200hp is fun to drive, and can be tuned/chipped.
