Refil coolant after timing belt
So for those of you who have done this job how did you guys do it? According to the bently manual there is a device audi uses to pressurize the system to fill the coolant, I've added coolant in, ran the car with the heater on HI, turned off car and then pulled the bleeder hose off near the firewall until air stopped escaping, topped off resovoir and then repeat until I could not top up the resovoir...

That should work fine. I usually just fill the system as much as possible and let the car run. That'll draw the coolant in. Top off as needed. What'll happen is air bubbles will become trapped behind the thermostat and keep it from opening. When the car gets 3/4 of the way up the temp gauge, shut it down. Let it cool and pop the cap, fill as needed and repeat.
