Has anyone ever removed the insulation pad that is located under the A4's hood? Do you just "pull" out the plastic inserts holding the pad in place? Are the inserts reusable or do you need a new set when you go back? Thanks.

im not against it or anything im just curious thats all

 

I would like to install some sound-deadening material under the pad to help reduce engine noise.
