Default Replacing valve cover gasket B7 A4 3.2L

Hi there

New member here, long time lurker! mwhaha!

I can't find any specific information on chancing my B7 A4 3.2L valve cover gaskets. Is it really as simple as removing the coilpacks and removing the torq screws around the covers?

I'm changing them because I have some dried up oil under the valve covers. Plus, there an oily smell and it's just smoking a bit.

Cheers!

it is just that easy. be sure to torque the screws down to whatever they call for. it's probably one of the easiest things to do on a car.

the torque value likely isn't very much, in fact it could even be in inch lbs vs ft lbs. You can call a dealership service department and ask them, or otherwise grab yourself a Haynes manual and go from there. Having the manual could come in handy for other things as well! Good luck! any problems let us know!
