I know the answer to this question is 'somewhere' on this forum. But, rather than try to find the question, I thought I would just ask it myself.

I recently bought an 06' A4. My sales rep insisted that I DID NOT have satellite radio nor could I hook it up, but I don't understand that. I mean if I have the 'satellite' button and the antenna, why can't I hook it up so I could have it on the display? Is this true or do I REALLY not have satellite radio?

I also plan on intalling an iPod connection. I've been doing a little reading on here and few people have mentioned that I could not have satellite radio and an iPod connection at the same time. Is this true?

Would I be better off just buying a satellite tuner and then intalling the iPod connection?

Can anyone give me any advise on this? I would REALLY appreciate it!

you might need the satellite tuner module installed such as this one for Sirius: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/AUDI-...RCHQ3aUSQ3a101

There is a tray in the trunk of the car near the left tail light. Pry it open using a screwdriver and check to see if you have one installed there.

i don't know for sure... i just got my a4 on saturday. i have sirius currently but would like to add an ipod connector at some point.

 

If you hook up an Ipod adapter to the stock head unit, you will not be able to add satellite radio tuner. I had Sirius before and I cancelled it, I like having the Ipod better. The ipod adapter I'm using is by Peripheral http://www.peripheralelectronics.com/products.aspx
