Default Seat belt chime

I have a 2006 A4. Is there any convenient way to disable the seat belt chime that sounds off when you disconnect your seatbelt when the engine is running? I always wear a belt, but it is nice to be able to pull in the driveway and disconnect the best with the engine still running.

I just did this to my A4 on Sunday.

Get with somebody that has the Ross-Tech Vag-Com. It's a 3 minute procedure.

On my A4 B7, I poked the Module 17 Recode value to 0023208 and entirely disabled the chime warning.

I have *always* used my seatbelt, without fail, each and every time I got in a car since, like the early 1970s. It's a habit for me, so the chime was an annoyance. When I get rid of the car, I'll re-enable the chime...

Ditto that. I hate the chime when I have to undo the seatbelt, but I'm not getting out of the car.

You can go to the vag-com directory on the site and see... thanks for posting the code... and hopefully theres no "just wear your seatbelt" comments forthcoming... The worst is tryin to chill before work or (and this is the mood killer right here) dropping a date off and tryin to chill in the ride for a bit. Nothing like a chime just before...

Da*n, I was just out in the WA DC area in early June, and I always have my VAG-COM cable in the glove-box...

sh*t, I'm always up for a road-trip.... What'll it take to have me drive on out for a "chime-disable"? (I'm in Minnesota currently)
