Default Seat Bolster Wear Common?

Looking at a 2006 S4 cabrio with 14k miles. Car has an obscene number of options (over $7k worth) and is very clean......except for seat bolster wear on both front seats.

How common is this?

Price is $34k if anyone has opinions on that.

Sounds like a good price to me! I'm surprised about the seat wear, though. Unless the S4 seats use some funky leather that doesn't stand up very well. I'm at 13k right now, with now noticeable wear.

i have 25k on my my a4 seats and am the only one who really rides in it but the drivers seat still looks great...not mint like the passenger and rear seats but nice! i have used meygairs (spelling) spray cleaner and conditioner. at first i thought the leather on it was fake but now as it breaks in shows that it is leather.

Default yes..kindof

it is common for the bolster to develop a hairline crack at somepoint...it isn't common for the pleather to wear. Your bolsters are actually a synthetic leather...the inserts are the real thing... evidently VW found that the pleather wears better than the real stuff...so on wear prone areas they use pleather.
