Software required for test-pipe and no check engine light?
When installing a test pipe on the 2.0 A4 B7 will you get a check engine light, or do you need some type of software not to get the check engine light?
sometimes initially you do not get a check engine light, but rest assure you will get one. Any chip you get will have a file for a test pipe. If you want to avoid getting a check engine light you can go with a high flow cat, which will give you basically the same results and no need to get an ecu flash, although it would optimize the results. PM me if you are interested in a HFC.
theres quite the difference between a high flo cat and no cat at all....
there's no way to that you're not going to throw a code going catless, bosch makes an O2 sensor that fakes the correct O2, and i'm not totally sure if by chipping your car it will turn off a CEL unless you get your car rechipped afterward to fix it....
i'm thinking theres a way to shut it off via the vag-com link but again i'm not sure about that one either
