Default Some adivice on 06 2.0T Quattro

Hello looking for some advice if this is a good idea. I have the opportunity to buy a 2006 2.0T Quattro 113k miles for $7k. I know the owner since 0 miles personally they had every oil change done at 3k miles and had the timing belt done at 70k. The car is in great shape and they had all work done at Audi dealership regularly. The a4 was in FL for about a year and half and in lower NY the rest of the time.

What I am really wondering is buying a 2006 a4 with this many miles is a good idea and will the car last if I maintain it in the same way. Is there any usual problems that begin to happen around this many miles? How many miles should I expect the car to last? Anything else I should know or look out for? Thank you in advance for any advice.

Sounds like you know its history and it's been well (even overly) maintained. Seems like the price is pretty good too. If you like the car, I'd go for it.

The only major problem that could happen is the cam follower. Audi issued an extended warranty on these 10 years 120tmls. Also PCV (cheap/recall) DV etc. My Audi dealer (German) only seen 2 cam followers fail an '06 A6 2.0T 170hp, and 05 A4 2.0t 200hp. Both had in excess of 150tmls and were company cars (beaten pretty badly). German oil changes are every 30tkm 19tmls?! You may want to have the cam follower replaced. The part is cheap, but if it fails it will take the HP fuel pump and cam shaft out as well. Other than that the price seems good and the history looks solid.

Good luck!
