hi,

my car has couple 8 inches long scratches on my left fender
due to stupid vandalism.

have anyone used a scratch repair kit?
and should I use it?

Where are you located? Some scratches can come out with a buffer, I have got some out on my car and it is black. Ive heard Scratch X and similar products work.

 

1st check to see if it is through the clear coat. If so you are screwed and will need a paint repair. If only the clear coat there is a product made by I believe turtlewax which is a pen with a clearcoat type material in it. Just go over the scratch and let it sit in the sun for a few minutes and it should pretty much be invisible. If it is a shallow scratch then a little compound can take it out. I would 1st go to a good detailer and ask them how they would treat this.
