Default Sound (motor)

I was wondering if anyone can give me advice about getting some nice performance sound out of my 2006 A4 2.0T? I HATE the sound of those done up civic's and likewise, I would love a nice throaty sound similar to that of the 350Z or the G35 but as I drive a 4 banger I'm not sure what I can do? Does anyone know if I could install a blow off valve on the stock turbo? I don't want to mess with the car too much and run into engines problems.

BOV won't affect your exhaust sound. There are several reputable performance exhausts for Audi. Look for APR, AWE, Magnaflow, and Milltek to name some off the top of my head.

Most people will say that a BOV will make your car sound MORE ricey...not less. The direct injection of the 2.0T FSI engine is already rather throaty. It has a diesel-like sound, so it sounds nothing like a civic. If you want to, yes, you can do as eMacPaul says and upgrade the exhaust.

And another note...adding a BOV will hurt your car's performance. It will cause your car to run rich.

just go to youtube and check out the different exhausts for your car. That's really
your best bet to see what you like.
