TC's reference thread
I'm hoping that after the summer I will be trading it in for a Chevy Colorado Z71. I still need a truck (I'm a firm believer that if you own a house with a yard, you need a truck) for yard stuff as well as towing toys. The Chevy Colorado gets decent mileage, can tow up to 7k pounds and is pretty sweet. The tundra is killing me in fuel costs, that's why we had the car. However, we are looking to simplify at the house again, and 3 cars wasn't simple, at least to the ruling class in the house.
I really REALLY loved my Audi, and was very sad to see it go last night. However, the kid that bought it was super excited to have it, knowing what I had done, and the meticulous record keeping (he got every single record, receipt, and a fully populated excel spreadsheet with dates, mileage, costs etc that lined up with every receipt).
I had just recently put the b5 cups on too. The car looked great, drove great. Still kind of bumming.
I hear ya' on the 3 car thing. Did it for about a year because I was having a hard time giving up our 2004 Grand Cherokee Limited 4x4. In the end, it was just too much maintenance, too much time, too much money, and nowhere to park it, though. It was also helping me get by without needing a truck (I would just borrow a friend's small utility trailer when I needed it). It is tough to have a house and not have a way to haul large, dirty stuff.
