Every morning when I open my driver side door, I hear an unsual sound coming from under the dash (I think). It sounds like it is adjusting something in preparation for my entrance (kind of a slide noise). Does anyone else's A4 do this?

Normal - the fuel pump primes itself when you open the door (I think it actually occurs as soon as you pull up on the door handle). Intent is to make the upcoming cold start easier.

Yup...it's the fuel pump priming up fuel

 

My B8 does the same, glad I found the answer to this. I was a bit concerned.
