Took my 07 Audi A4 (bought it used a year ago, non-CPO) to the dealership for service today..and I was handed this list of problems and the costs (!) afterwards:

motor mounts - $1000
upper control arm bushings - $900
left and right outer cv boot kits - $700

If I were to go ahead with the fix..its going to cost me more than $4000 parts+labor along with 4 tires that need to be changed out. I'm overwhelmed at this point since the car was fine a year ago according to the dealership..I'm thinking about handing this quote to a private shop and see what they can do.
Any suggestions? Thank you!

I'm currently at 72000 miles.

 

Go to a private shop and have them review the car (don't share the quote) and see what they come back with. Probably be 35% to 50% less. Some of those items may not even need to be changed or are just starting to show signs of wear.
