Exclamation Vibration / slipping on full lock and low speeds - worse when wet / cold

Hi Guys, just wanted to pass some info on as i couldnt find any related info when looking for info on my issue.
When turning my car at low speeds / full lock etc i was getting a severe slipping / bumping sensation almost as though the tyre was delaminating and wanting to go straight on. It was so bad in icy weather that anything more than 2mph turning into a parking space would result in the car going straight on. Originally I thought it was wet leaves on the car park where i originally noticed it as it feels like the exact same. I took car into tyre centre and they could easily replicate symtoms but there was told no problem with tyres. I then took it to my local Audi dealership and they could also replicate and checked steering geometry with an end result of "its possibly the tyres". I was also told this had occured on a few other customers cars and replacment of the tyres cured the issue. I persevered with the fault for 4000 miles / 3 months or so as the tyres had good tread but today I have just been and had the front tyres replaced before they required it which did indeed cure the problem. On inspecting the Dunlop SP Maxx tyres that came off the car I could see cracking between EVERY tread gap and also right round the outside circumference of the tread width. There was clearly visible unusual wear on the tyre like tide marks you get on sand. It was easy to see once deflated that these tyres were goosed! BTW the tyres were less than 7 months old when problem started so it wasnt age either.... well not the tyres anyway
When my dealership originally told me I could have two faulty tyres I was extremely scheptical, especially since I alread had the tyre centre check them but little did I know my tyre fitter should probably have gone to specsaver . I was never big on Dunlop tyres but elected for them as this is what the car came with but from now on I will avoid like the plague due to this experience.

Hope this helps any others with the same.

tyre size: 235/40/18 (Dunlop SP Maxx)
car: B7 s-line 2.0 TDi - 32,000 miles
Tyres were bought and fitted around Feb 08 (uk)
tread depths between 4.5 and 5 mm
