What Intake should I get for 2008 A4 2.0T Avant Quattro?
Hey guys! Im new to the forums. I had a question. What kind of Intake should I get for my new ride? INFO: 2008 A4 2.0T Avant Quattro
So far the only thing I have done to my car is chipped it. It increased my horsepower by a bit and torque. Im getting exhaust, lowering springs, and rims from Neuspeed pretty soon.
Let my know what you think about the intake though!!!
Thanks!

Average time; probably a few business days. Just a heads up though, the fitmit for the carbon fiber top to the "heat shield" is not very good, you may no fit a screw or two in. No issues though. Get ready for a great DV sound and turbo spool[sm=happybounce.gif]

HMMM thats not good. It still fits though doesnt it. Like it will sit in there just fine? Well aslong as I get a good sound, ill be happy, but I hope that the heat sheild will stay attached?? Does a few screws really make a difference?

The only problem i had was the Carbon was a little to big to fit under the left side of the bay. i just cut it a little bit its really no biggy.

I just had the evoms intake installed last week and I could not be happier. It has definetly improved the performance on my engine. Whether that is more HP or just a change in the power curve I don't know but when you step on the accellerator the car just wants to go go go. The hesitation if the lower rpms is gone and it has a strong smooth pull like it niver had before. Keep in mind my car is not chipped. I also have the Forged DV and AWE exhaust. The intake makes more noise than I was expecting and I am still getting use to that but the increase in performance has me smiling each time I get behind the wheels. The throttle is much more responsive, that acceleration through 80mph is smooth and strong and much much better, fast, smoother that it was before.
I chose the evoms over the carbonio for several reasons. 1. My tuner shop recommened that one, 2. it is siginificantly cheaper and I don't care about the pretty CF lid of the carbonio. noone will be ever looking under my hood except me and the shop I go to. In addition I new a couple people who had both the carboinio and the evoms and they both felt that they could feel more power from the evoms. i don't if that is statistically true or not. Lots of debate out there wether the intakes actually give you more HP and i can definetively say wehter it did or not because I did not do a pre/post dyno but I do know the car either has more power or the power has changed for the better in the lower and mid rpms.
