What to replace during the timing belt job.
ECS tuning as well as other sites have complete kits including kevlar belt, and even include coolant!!! or you can talk to an audi dealer the parts run around 300. i recommend getting someone to do it, or finding someone that has a lift you can use. your car has to be put in service mode, which means the front end has to come off, radiator and all...just easier to get to everything with a lift. Do later model Audi's have this feature as well or did Audi do away with a good idea?

everything i have come across says the front end has to come off, mine did, i know the b6 has to come off. it kinda sucks but you have access to everything up front and it only takes about 30 min to get there.
You have to have access to everything up front in the B5 models as well, but there is just enough play in the A/C lines and such to literally slide the entire nose assembly forward six to eight inches without physically removing it from the car (assuming the service pins are in place, otherwise the entire assembly will fall on the ground).

i finally got a reply from an audi tech i know, you can unbolt it and slide it forward on the b7, so i guess i did mine the hard way...oh well lesson learned, at least i got some cleaning done with it apart
Relay rollers/damper rollers are just 2 rollers (different sizes) that are located on the block and the timing belt runs along them..DO NOT keep the old ones, the bearings will go before your next timing belt change and could lead to bad news..
