Recall aka Service Action
I just took my 2006 2.0t quattro to the shop to get the winter tires swapped off and and an alignment. When I got the car back, it had a new PCV valve, turbo inlet valve, and low pressure fuel sensor. All part of a service action, or as the service fella said, recall. Just thought you all might want to know.
which is really weird when i saw it.
Because the breather valve and fuel pressure switch were recalls when the 2.0 first came out. Now were doing it all over again.
Probably because even cars with already replaced breathers are coming back for continued failure

Mine was the original. I looked at the numbers when I first got the car. Never had trouble, or any oil usage. Funny thing is, the car does run just a bit smoother now at idle. don't know if the new PCV, or the low fuel pressure sensor have anything to do with it.
It's possible that the lowpressure fuel sensor had been corrected by the 08 models, or maybe there are different suppliers for the same part, and only the sensors from a particular supplier were having trouble.
