Default Window drop issue

Hey all,

Just bought this vehicle, mint condition but a few minor niggles to solve.

To save me disassembling the drivers door, would anyond happen to know if it uses a door angle sensor etc so that it knows when to drop the window slightly to not hit the roof when closing or does it use the door limiter bar? (Actually just re-read this part and probably has neither if the window is already dropped when door first opened).

Short version, when in the vehicle, put window all the way up, pull door handle and the window drops a couple of mm as expected, swing door open, no problem, start closing door and when its nearly 6inches from totally closing(door) the window drops perhaps an inch, soon as the door totally closes it *may* send the window up a few mm as expected to seal BUT not compensating for the inch it overshot by and therefore doesn't seal, have to climb in through the pass side and use the window switch to totally close it.
If I slam it quickly it doesn't seem to have the chance (as in fast approach but not actually slamming it).

Does have a habit of forgetting auto close position(drivers door only) so am guessing this could be a wiring issue with the flex (door to A pillar).

Thanks

UAC is already disabled on the machines (much to my dismay and not by my choice - these are end-user systems). I'll have to test restarting explorer, but that usually ends up with a reboot anyway. I looked at the thread and I've tried all the same things as the person who wrote it. Thanks for posting it though - a solution might pop up sooner or later. I had another machine fall victim to this bug today.
