Question Windshield washer nozzle question

Hi all, I have a 2006 B7 and I love it. There is only one small thing that bothers me. The washer fluid comes out of the nozzles as a single stream of fluid (total of 4 streams) instead of being sprinkled all over the windshield. Is this normal? It certainly does not seem normal to me. I don't know if I should replace the nozzle? Are my nozzles clogged or something? They do look nice and clean.

So it looks more like #1 in the picture below. And I think correct behavior is #2

Please advise,
Thanks JJ

Nope, they designed them that way, been like that for 10+ years. I hate them too. I don't think there is a nozzle replacement either.

Word. I hate that. I guess it works great when you're going 200 km/h on the autobahn but it's not so great at low speeds. My Golf has a great spray nozzle. The pattern covers the whole windshield.

This is a terrible news to me. I think I'm going to have to invent the OEM replacement nozzle that works as expected and I will make hundreds thousands of dollars...

haha. There you go. Why bother working for the man when you can make a patent that sells.

Easy enough, just copy a GM design. I love the nozzles on my Sierra

So after all these years I found the kinda-solution here:

Audi A4 'Water Pistol' to VW Passat 'Fan Jet' Conversion....

the only problem with the "fan jet" type of spray is that it temporarily blinds you because the whole windshield is covered. the "water piston" spray lets you see the road.
