Default Wood trim glued over brush metal ?

I just brought home my first Audi (08 A4 Cab) and after spending a few hours in it I noticed that the wood interior trim is merely glued over
the existing metal brush trim. Is this normal? Does anyone have the wood trim and if so can you tell me if yours is glued over existing trim? I can
see how it would need to be glued to various parts but what about the pieces in the doors and the glovebox? I Before I give it to the
dealer I want to make sure this is not the normal process for adding walnut trim.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

That would be pretty funny! How did you notice this? Is the wood trim coming off?

ya, is it clearly pealing off or were you giving it a good cleaning or something?

I spoke to the dealer and it was indeed added by another dealer. I noticed because
1. They left a brush metal reveal behind the fake wood sticker molding ;-)
2. It's pealing off in some areas
3. It's not perfectly centered in some areas
4. The mold or cut is not straight in some areas

The dealer told me that he did tell me they added Walnut trim but they didn't tell me it was a hack and not
a factory install. So, they have agreed to remove it but I'm concerned how the brush metal will look after.

I asked what they are going to do about the $450.00 walnut option and they don't know yet..Why are car
dealers such weasels ???

Love the car, hate the weasels..

I would talk to Audi USA... I doubt they appreciate their dealers pulling crap like this.

An Audi dealer did this? If your legit with your claim, thenyou shouldbe on the phone with Audi asking them about this scam job. Trim held on by Elmers does not equal Walnut trim option. I doubt they used the trim that normally comes as part of the package as it stick out way too far and may not even fit.

I'd take the car back and tell 'em to shove it and tell them to give me my $$ back. If they balk, tell them how you're taking your pics and posting them in all Audi forums and will report them to anyone who'll listen...including Audi. Its deceptive, potentially unsafe, diminishes the car's value at resale and who the hell knows what they didn't own up to. You sure its a real cabrio and not an A4 that met a hacksaw? I'd be ripping the sales manager a new one on the floor daily until they refunded me every cent.
