Alright so I picked up a 2009 Audi A4 2.0t Quattro. It has a pretty serious knock and I’m planning on opening it up to determine what the problem is, then I’ll decide whether it can be fixed or if I’ll just replace it. I’ve been trying to do some research into the specifics of the engine but I’m getting a little lost trying to determine the specific engine. If I replace the engine I want a direct replacement. Can anyone help me determine which engine generation would be in my car? What are the differences between say the 2007 a4 engine and the 2009?
