A4 2009 37500 miles on the clock
If you got a CPO car then you don't have to do anything. If not check to see if the 30K or 35K service was done. If you purchased from a dealer have them pull up the service record for you. If not take it to an Audi dealer and have them pull the service record. Go from there depending on what the results were. Because the engine was redesigned in 09 there is no more timing belt. It was changed to a chain. Good luck and keep an eye on the oil consumption.

Edit - oops, you're in London. Well maybe it's the same
Price on the website was £13,850, price next to the car was £14,450, price I paid with a ford focus trade in was £11,350. Seems it does have a cam belt as only certain b8 models have a chain :/, contacted Audi UK to confirm.
Not sure what their 145 point check entails either.... I checked the tyres today as the left side looked a little on the thin side, tyres at the back were 32.5PSI and 9PSI.... wtf... has a plentiful service history and dealer suggested its OK to leave it a bit more than 5 years as it is nowhere near 75000 miles on the clock. Took it up to 100MPH today, was effortless compared to the focus. I do find steering harder than the focus though but the power that kicks in when in 3rd gear > 2000 RPM is quite something now

Just look at the top of the engine and if you see an oil filter in the front right center then you have the later engine with a timing chain. If you don't see the filter then you have the old design motor with a belt. I believe the belt change is required around 90,000 miles.
