Smile Advice needed

I have recently purchased an Audi A4 1.8tfsi B8 2008 - I think this must be one of the early B8's.

Long story short, I got the car cheap but it has some issues - one being Engine check light on. I have read the code and Found P2015 which seems to be quite common on these. I understand its a manifold replacement but I was wondering which part of the manifold fails? if it the flaps or a leak perhaps?

Symptoms: intermittent poor idling, Lack of power, light on dash.

Thanks for the help.

Nic

Try this...
Intake Flap Manifold P2015 and P2008 Question

If you google Audi + P2015 you'll find lots of other info. Not sure what applies to your situation.

Hi,

thanks for the reply... the link you attached I had already read but it applies for the 2.0 engine which is slightly different. My 1.8T manifold flap is vacuum controlled which appears to be working fine. I have googled for info too and have found a lot of people saying you have to reply the manifold but I cant understand why... there is no motor attached to it and it is just a manual butterfly flap which is vacuum controlled.

Cheers for the help anyway.
