Default Audi a4 2010-sirius satellite problem

Just got my 2010 Audi A4 premium plus 2 months ago. Just did a google search and find this amazing forum.

The previous owner decided not to continue the subscription after their free subscription is finished. I decided to continue the subscription. Everything is done and the transmittance is all good (based on XM radio customer service).

The problem is I could not get into the Sirius radio mode. I tried to look at the owner's manual and it is said that all I have to do is to hit the "band" button (on the right top corner) while we are in the radio mode but when I hit the button, the options are only FM and AM. I don't know what is wrong and I am sure that my audi does come with the SIRIUS satellite radio features as it is stated at the invoice and since it is equipped with 3G MMI with navigation.

I realized that something is wrong when I tried to find my ID number, but I managed to find it by the help of the customer service who did a search on the VIN. Has anyone here ever faced this kind of problem? I really don't know what to do. Thanks a lot in advance.

Any chance they jacked the sirius unit? Most cars will skip the Satellite band if it is missing.

The customer service guy said that the sirius option will show up after I subscribed the service. I waited for three hours but nothing happened

Nah that's bs. Even if you never activated it you would have channel 184 which is the preview channel. I am on my 3rd car with satellite and they all worked that way.

The dealer does it. It is done via CD. If your car in under warranty. Its a covered item

Default same problem

Found this old post, I want to activate Sirius in my 2010 premium plus A4 but can't even bring up Sirius nor channel 184. Does anyone know which CD has the update? My friend at the dealer says he would lend it to me to upload on my own at no charge but he isn't sure which one it is, I hope someone out here has a clue? Thanks in advance for your help.

I also have the same problem -- my car has Train Version P0110, MU Software 0042. I think that this was covered under the original warranty, but now it is out of warranty -- anyone know where to get started?
