Default Audi A4 - issues with concert audio system

Just changed from BMW to Audi A4 (2.0TDI SLINE Multi-Tronic) with the Audi Concert Audio System. Impressed with the functionality of the car and audi, but when I copy iTunes tracks onto the SD card they won't play - doesn't recognise any files at all? The few imported tracks I have show fine. Its not the media file as I can play the itunes track via Windows Media Player on the laptop.

According to other searches on web, apparently itunes should work fine? Has anyone else had this problem and was there an easy solution? The car was registered in March 2009?

I believe you have to convert those iTunes songs to ACC format to be able to listen to them from your SD card. It's pretty easy to do on iTunes, just right-click on a song and select the "convert to ACC format" option. You can't do this with a full album however, just with single songs.

Of course you can install iTunes and your library on the SD card instead - install a fresh download from your PC and desiginate the SD card as the "hard drive" on which to install.

Thanks for this - Ive converted itunes files to MP3 in itunes and they will play now (although on a different card - I think the other card is incompatible for some reason - 4Gb SDHC card which the manual says should work?).

Don't think the Audi would be able to read itunes as an application - would it?

I'm not as familiar with the early 2009 as I am the current MMI, which can 'read' an iPod (self-linked of course to iTunes). The current can read a 64GB SDHC.
