Default Audi / Concert Bose system

ok. Just got the car, 1996 a4 quattro 2.8

has the bose concert stereo...very nice but thats ALL i GOT....

rear speakers Gone, and only the FRONT pass speakers work. I assume this system should have a amp with it?? Where the rear deck speakers are there is a 6 or 8 pin connector on the left side and 2 speaker wires on the right.

I assume im missing the amp and thats why the other speakers done work as I read here it all goes through the amp.

SO......Im REALLY thinking of just ditching/selling the bose stereo and just redoing it all with an aftermarket as I want an auxilary jack for my zune anyways.

Are there issues with the antenna as I read its not a NORMAL antenna
and two..I really dont think items as people have said go through this system.

what have others of you done??!! just sounds to expensive to get the bose all up and running.

You need to look in the right rear part of the trunk area. This is where the amp is located. It is common to get water into this assembly. You can get a new one for a couple of hundred dollars. Drill a small hole in the bottom to let any water out.
