Default Audi Drive Select

So my 2009 A4 Avant came loaded save for Drive Select. I had the feature in the 2009 A4 sedan loaner I was given until my car arrived. Drive select seems like a more refined version of Volvos 4C which I had in my 300 Hp 6 speed MT Wagon.

In any case, is drive select a possible retrofit (no more than 2500 Cdn $) or am I pretty much SOL?

It seems that this post is a couple of months old, but in any case if you still wondering, I suggest you should get the drive select. It's amazing.

Does anyone know what the best way of using the drive select is? Does it damage the car if you switch frequently between Auto and Dynamic while driving?

It shouldnt since that's what it was made for. The manual states you can do it and if Im not mistaken ... to release throttle if you want the throttle response to change.

I use it all the time on the fly...

BTW... Does the ADS model sit a bit lower than the non ads and slightly higher than the sport pack model?

My buddy has the sport pack (non ADS) and his is definately lower and I had a loaner for 2 weeks that had NO ADS or Sport pack and it seemed to sit higher.

I don't think it's higher than the S-Line, the skirt on the S-Line gives the illusion of being lower. As per other models as long as it's a quatro, I believe they can't be lower due the snow clearance requirement.
