Buying a second hand 2012 MY13 Audi A4
Hi All,
Planning on purchasing this Audi A4 from the dealership. It comes with all the books and servicing from Audi, I'm just worries as I've heard this engine has lots of issues with the oil consumption? Any advice? I was reading that it was fixed mid 2011, and this model was built in 2012..

I have a 2011 and when I test drove it, then took it on a 3000 mile road trip from MI to FL and back, it was great on oil. I discovered that it was the start/stopping when cold that caused the blowby. It has gotten progressively worse to the point where it uses a quart every 400-600 miles. I am debating just having the rings replaced since the rest of the car is great. As far as it being eliminated in 2012, I am not sure that was the case. I believe I have seen posts for 2012s with the problem. It was alleviated in 2013+
