Cannot open Bonnet/Hood Catch/Latch
Hi all,
I have an issue where my bonnet release cable has become disconnected at the junction, around 18 inches from the release catch. I have searched and searched, but can find no posts, pages or websites with an idea of how to resolve.
I have tried from the front with a long screwdriver, but I'd have to break something for that to work. I've tried from in the cabin, just in case it's still connected but may have dislodged it's chassis mount, but no luck. I've looked at going through the grill, but I'd have to break it to get at the catch.
I've had the thought that I could go from underneath, with my arm stretched up, while wielding a set of pliers...
Any thoughts?
