Followed manual and changed timing belt and water pump and locked the crank and cam gear and injector pump with special tool kit.
Put it back together, its starts for 5 seconds then stops.
The key is stuck in the ignition unless I disconnect the battery to get it out.
It has a loud alarm for 30 seconds but no check engine light and no crashing of valves hitting the head so it starts for 5 seconds.
When the enging swith is on, the water pump keeps running.
Why wont it keep running?
Do I need to get a diagnostic tool and clear codes etc.Or an expensive back of the truck trip to Audi that I cant afford.
Please any help would be wonderful.

 

My 14 a4 needed it around 85k. Had a bunch of cel and sluggish starts to let me know it was time. You should get some warning I doubt you'll blow your motor without any warnings. But I'm not a mechanic so could be wrong 🤷
