Default Cheap Accessories??

I have been looking for a set off 2.0 exhaust tips and mudflaps. I found both at Bernardi Parts online for:
Chrome Covered Stainless tips- $99.79
Mud Flaps- Front- $56.22, Rear- $56.22
Has anyone found these cheaper? BTW, these are genuine Audi parts.

Are you referring to this? http://audi.bernardiparts.com/Produc...0-071-761.aspx

They look really nice, has anyone tried to install them. I wonder how hard the installation might be?

Those are the ones. I am not 100% certain, but I would assume there are two tightening screws per tip. Should only take 5 minutes to have them on and perfectly aligned....lol...how many times have I thought that and spent an entire afternoon sweating, cussing and maybe even a bit of bleeding...

I installed them...took about 5 minutes. First thing you have to do is clean the exhaust pipes to get any road grime/salt off...I gently sanded mine. The tips then just slide on (no screws needed)...just have to make sure you have the angled edge of the tips aligned with the pipes themselves and give them a good push on until the tip edges are flush with the ends of the pipes...there are metal prongs inside the tips which expand as you push them on and ultimately grip the edge of the pipe. Definitely add a nice/finished look!

I was really surprised by Jim Ellis Audi today. I was out riding my motorcycle (65 and sunny in ATL yesterday) and stopped by with my online printout. To my amazement, they actually matched the prices for the tips and the flaps.
The tips are beautiful and, like Audi40 says, very easy to install....but once they are on, they ARE NOT coming off, so carefull alignment is critical. On the other hand, the mud flaps are going to be a total pain to install. The wheels have to come off and even a bit of drilling is needed for the rears...just something about sticking a drill bit into a new car doesn't feel right. Anyhow, they look pretty sleek and streamlined and will hopefully cut out a lot of the road grime that shows up so quickly on our white cars.

Audi SKU: 8K0-075-111 for the fronts
Audi SKU: 8K0-075-101 for the rears

I would print out the order form from Bernardi and take it to the parts manager. I just told him I would much prefer to keep my money local but would most prefer to keep my money in my pocket...he barely even tried to negotiate with the price.

I called Audi back and told them Bernardi would have them to my door for $126. Audi offered $130 so I took the deal. I didnt know everything was so negotiable. Thanks for the help

I got these exact tips from eBay. They're crap. Two weeks old and already rusting. Spend the extra $40 ($25 if you factor in shipping) and get them from the dealer and do it right the first time. I will say, they looked sweet for the first 2 days, lol.
