Check Oil Level without MMI and No Dipstick?
I recently bought a 2009 A4 (B8) Quattro Sedan, 2.0T.
CANNOT find the oil dipstick and I do NOT have the MMI interface. I'm sorry to have to post this, but I have searched the user manual and the internet for hours and everything I see shows either:
a) dipstick at the front, right of the engine in manual pics, and it's not there;
b) how to check it with the MMI interface, which I do NOT have on my car.
The closest thing to a dipstick on my car is a tube immediately in front of the oil filter that has nothing more than a 1/2" "plug" with a tiny o-ring in it.
How in God's name is one to check the oil in this car without MMI and no dipstick?

All cars have the MMI. Read the owners manual. The plug you pulled out is where a after market dipstick goes. Take a wire coat hanger and straighten it out. Stick it into the oil dipstick tube until it touches bottom. Pull it out and read it. If no oil on it add a quart and see the dealer.
