Default Cool new feature?

So I just got my car done for the 5,000 mile service and noticed something I've never noticed before.. If you leave the right side view mirror in adjust mode (as opposed to the middle with the heater one) when you put the car in reverse it turns the mirror all the way down so its easier to park. What a fabulous feature I'm very excited to utilize this feature as most other luxury cars have it. Did this come with a new computer upgrade or have I just never noticed it?

Mine's done that since it came off the truck.

Actually, I have this feature on my BMW 325i. More often than not it is a PITA as you will be backing up and be looking at the ground if you forget (as I always do) to deselect the option.

Interesting someone brought this up. On my 2009 A4 3.2, this feature worked when I first got the car. However, for whatever reason, right now, it doesn't work. I know it's supposed to tilt only when (1) the side mirror control **** is on "R" and (2) you put the gear lever to Reverse.

At least that's how it worked before.

All I notice now is that the passenger mirror tilts slightly downward but not all the way down like it used to. Any idea what this is? Very strange.

That means... go back to dealer and get fix under warranty.
