I could have sworn I saw a B8 model where two little hooks folded down from behind the back edge of the trunk lid... ostensibly to hang your plastic grocery bags so they could swing around, unharmed, in the back of the car.

However when I reached for them, they weren't there. Upon inspection, I just saw four little pre-drilled holes, two for each hook.

Was I dreaming or do the B8's really have these hooks? I got the baseline package.

 

I've got them in my Prem+ and they are quite useful. I believe they're included as part of the trunk "storage package" which comes with Prem+ & Prestige models.

 

My premium plus has them.

But you know what I'm missing from my old B6? The storage compartments under the front sits.

They do have them, I have them and they appear to be standard on UK spec without the Storage Pack. Storage pack brings places under the front seats (that we have as standard on our 3 door A3 Diesel!!) and a locking glove box............ Take a test drive in one and undscrew the ones on that..........

 

Thanks for all the replies - I just confirmed with the dealer that they come don't come with the base package (at least in the U.S.). I don't know if Audi thought that would be a way to entice buyers to the higher priced models ("Get the Premium Plus and you'll get these grocery bag holders!!!") or whether it was just a way to save a few bucks.

 

...so I just ordered the hooks and screws from Audi and I will install them myself. We traded in a 2006 A4 for the 2009 A4 and sure enough no hooks like on the older model. They sure are convenient.
