ESP and Parking Brake
Hi all - I'm running an A4 Quattro 2009, just had it 3 months and it's been superb so far until last weekend.
Driving down the motorway, and the engine started losing power and rumbling. Turns out cylinder 3 was misfiring due to the fuel injector being stuck open.
Got a new injector installed today and initially everything was fine!
Started the car to drive home and very rough idle, followed by engine warning light.
Drove up a fairly steep hill, gave it a bit of revs and bang - lost power, engine cut out. ESP and parking brake malfunction lights lit up but managed to get the car moving and back home. It's now showing the faults consistently but is drivable, albeit without the same power.
I'm hoping this is just due to the new injector not being coded properly (is that a thing?) or possibly the MAF not being reconnected properly?
Anybody have any ideas? I've got the mechanic coming back out tomorrow so hopefully I'll know more soon! And hopefully it's not going to be a costly fix!
While it was being repaired today on the driveway, it was raining pretty heavily....I'm grasping at straws here.
