Default Floor Mats

Will be leasing my VERY first car (under my own name at least), and extremely excited about picking up the A4 Premium Plus Quattro 2.0T this weekend.

Kind of stupid question...but should I get rubber floormats to protect the carpet, or am I just being paranoid? (in NYC)

I have them, they have deep rows and seem to trap a lot of the stuff on my shoe that I get into the car with. I don't like the way they look as opposed to the regular mats but in the snow they are great. I'm in NJ right outside NYC we get the same weather I would have to say its not worth it now, we're probably done with the severe snow now..

Just picked mine up last night. The dealer made me wait 3 hours from my scheduled appointment for the delivery! Still happy though, but he told me he would "make it up to me", so I'm gonna try to squeeze some complimentary rubber floor mats outta him. Hope it works =]

we just picked an '09 A4 up on Saturday (2/28)... i'm thinking of putting the rubber mats in and, possibly, just keeping the regular mats fresh for when the car eventually goes back... dunno, just a thought! : )

I stayed with the reg mats just because of the look but wanted rubber to keep things cleans. But then invested $30 into a cheap wet vac and you'll be surprised how well it works to cleanup the fabric. You just rub some soap water into the mat and suck it right up. Look like new. Also useful for interior carpet spills/stains etc.
