For those who have a 2011 or newer 2.0 with the 8 speed transmission how do you like it. Is the mileage better then the 6 speed and does it have a tendency to shift a lot.

 

I traded in my B6 6mt for a 2012 auto. I'm still getting used to it a little. The pros is that on the highway at 75mph I'm at about 1800rpm so the fuel economy is good. The con is when I'm on the highway cursing n need to get around a car it has to drop a couple gears( 8th-6th or 8th-5th) the good thing about my car is I have the paddle shifters so I can do it myself so it's better. If u can find one with the shifters. As far as the shifting the gears are close so they shift faster than the 6speed, after a couple of days driving it I'm used to it now. Hope this helps
