it's proven that there are no HP gains with late model audis if you use K&Ns. they also don't filter near as good as the OEM filters.

Are there any CAIs available for the B8 yet? I'm pretty sure that K&N and Carbonio do not have anything as of now. Anyone know of anything else?

FYI - I've bit the bullet.. and ordered the K&N filter for the B8 2009 A4 2.0T. Everything else is bone stock so I'll be able to tell quite quickly I'd imagine if there's any improvement and will post some butt-dyno results.

Just installed the K&N this morning. The car sounds like it's breathing a little better. I rinsed the excess oil off under water for a little bit and let it dry over night. Now I'm waiting for OCT to be finished developing so I can get that thing flashed.

Just picked mine up today. Will rinse it off and post some results from the 'butt dyno'.

FYI.. installed today. Not that much difference in throttle response.. seems a little throatier. Most noticeable is how much more you hear the turbo and blow off/diverter? Sounds like a bunch of squirrels in a blender!!! love it!!!

Is k&N the only ones making the cold air intakes for the b8 models?

I have an 2.0 Quattro and was looking for OEM short stack intakes, but can't find any.

My cousin is a mechanic at Audi, I would have him install the intake for me, but I am not sure if it would void the warranty. I know I can take it in off and put the stock when i go in for maintenance, but that will be annoying.

Is it true that an intake would give better MPG? I really don't mind, i Just enjoy the sound and the lil bit of HP (if it gives any).

Thanks.

the KnN air filter made a difference? Dyno Results? It probably sounds no where near what a V6 would with a more effiecient air filter tho huh?

It did make a difference...noticeable too. Definitely nowhere near the power of the V6, but I wasn't expecting that. I doubt very much that it's a gain of more than 2-3 hp, but the throttle response is what's most noticeable. The Turbo and the DV can be heard a lot more often under harder throttle operation. So far haven't tracked too many miles to say whether there's any improvement in fuel consumption. Easy mod for ~$100 (CDN) that makes a difference - plus you don't have to change it - ever.

Do you have a link to order that exact product?

works for the 2009 B8 2.0Ts right? Also it wouldnt void warranty or anything correct? The install is pretty basical as well ?

Also how often would you have to change the stock filter as well ?
