Hello,
i'm looking at purchasing an audi A4 wagon from 2009 2.0T quattro.
I'm wondering what things should i be looking for that could be problematic?
what were the recalls if any?
What are the different trim levels?

Do not touch it unless it is a one-owner car you are buying directly from that one owner, and you have access to a full set of service records. These cars need to be babied with synthetic oil, tier 1 gasoline, biennial brake fluid changes, etc. The design, engineering, driving experience, and safety are unparalleled, but you will be dealing with unreliable rubber parts, including vacuum lines and seals. There are also reports of valve carbonization with the direct injection engines. We have four VW/Audi cars in our extended family -- the Passat wagon (bought new) and the two A4 sedans (bought from original owners w/ verified service records) have been great, but the S4 2.7T sedan (series of owners, etc.) has been a money pit.
