low speed power steering shudder
fyi, our dealer told us today this is not an official TSB yet, it is a TSI (technical service investigation) and that not enough of us have reported it yet to warrant a TSB.
Please report this issue to your dealer, we need to overrun them so they create a TSB and fix this ridiculous issue.

when I went in I just talked to a service guy in the hallway and he told me about how the wheels turn in the same plane and the tires don't turn over from side to side like on most cars and thats why it shudders.....is this absolute bs or what?!?!... and also... how do you even file a formal complaint for it to be logged or recorded somehow.... their is no record of a convo in a hallway... so how are we gonna get our TSB so we can get this problem fixed?... but really.. I just turn the wheel slowly and keep the car moving when I'm turning the wheel and I can prevent wheel shudder altogether...I could live without it ever getting fixed but it is still absurd that a cutting edge german luxury sedan would have this obvious design flaw...

Don't believe all the crap some of these dealers are saying and additional complaints to AOA, while it can't hurt, it's not going to accelerate the solution process either. They are already working on the fix.
The low speed "shudder" has been discussed at length here and in the Audiword forum. Audi is definitely aware of the issue and has been working on a solution for a couple of months. According to a high level AOA representative, there should be a fix within the next 30 days or so as they complete the testing. (I was told they believe it's a power steering hose design).

According to Audi USA It's power steering hoses that are "vibrating" when excessive fluid passes through them. They call me every two months or so to tell me that they are still working on the issue. I have no idea why they are calling me on the phone about it....
