I have a 2009 A4. Is anyone else hearing a noise coming from the front right after you put the car in Drive for the first time after turning it on. You can also feel it in the gas pedal. It happens right after you put the car in drive, and press the gas pedal, before you reach the speed of 10mph. Maybe the tranny, but this only happens once right after start. It does not repeat until I shut off and start up the car again. So this doesn't happen at red lights or anything like that.

Any ideas?

This has been happening since I first sat in the car at 22 total miles. So this was happening from the very beginning so I thought this was normal.

This is so minor that I don't even want to take it in to the dealer.

I have noticed more buzzing, humming and whirring on my B8 than any other car I have ever owned. Makes it a lot harder to self diagnos what is going on.

 

Wow, thanks for the post. That is exactly what I am experiencing. Is it only a select few of us, or is everyone hearing/feeling the same thing?

 

I'm also experiencing the same thing. It seems to be normal as it happens every time. I also notice more noise/adjustments when a passenger gets in the car so I assumed it was making some sort of adjustments to compensate for the additional weight.

 

Can't say that I've experienced/noticed anything like this in 4 months/5k miles of ownership.
