Default performance, hp & tq

Hey all,

I've got the Stasis software upgrade, which i think puts me just over 260hp (according to the Stasis person I talked to). What are the next lowest hanging fruit on this car for increasing hp & tq?

So far I'm looking at:
-AWE FMIC, 21hp 20tq (crank) $1100
-AWE catback exhaust, at most 9hp 7tq (crank) $1100

Are these the next best performance options? Is there something better? Do these claims sound bogus? i havent really considered upgrading the turbo, should I? Are CAI really not worth the $? let me know.

Oh I forgot meth injection.

i know you need to be detailed in these posts so just want to make clear that i'm mostly concerned with power right now. Ive already looked into tires, brakes suspension so please comment if you have suggestions for power increase.

i wouldn't worry about a clutch or flywhel. germans overengineer

everything they use is made to withstand 3 times the power that the car actually puts out. so he is ok on a clutch and flywheel unless he is going for more then 600 ponies
same for the trans and the rods and etc...

i should also inform you that this applys to cars made after 2001

some of the older motors as like the old AEB 1.8T motor from the 90's the internals could only withstand doule the HP untill it would let go.

i think it would be nice to get near 300hp. unrealistic im sure without upgrading the turbo.

i was wondering about getting forged rods, etc but good to know that they are likely rated to withstand twice what im going for.

I guess for this post i was wondering if there are power mods out there, common for this car, that ive missed. without ripping the engine completely apart. i guess im going in the right direction. the parts i am wondering about i guess are: CAI (which dont sound worth it), headers, fuel pump, and any other aftermarket drop-in part out there.

found a cool website in the meantime which talks about tuning the 2.0T.

that write up had a lot of good info, with the whole carbon build up thing.. he is right try to avoi dshort trips, try to make sure everytime you drive your car you get it to operating tempurature. also driving around like a 190 year old lady will cuase the carb build up to happen even faster.

you need to beat on your motor time to time, where i am we recommend to do a couple WOT entrances onto highways a couple times a week. also around 40k-50k miles go to the dealer get 2 cans of the fuel additive that audi has and put them both in your full tank of gas. as long as you do those things it would be uncommon for you to ever hace carbon build up problems.

side note: carbon build up will cause cold start misfire problems if you're curious about how to know if you do have a carbon build up problem.

upgrades. for 300 HP i would say you probably need to go to a little bigger on the turbo, (K04) the stock turbo is maxxed out at the 276 HP mark...
so bigger turbo, full exhaust ( i would recommend "Miltek", but thats just my opinion) but staisis has an ok exhaust too. a tune, intake and the S2 fuel injectors wouldn't hurt if you can get your hands on them.

Thanks for all the recommendations. I couldn't look into all this until recently so sorry for the late reply.

Miltek exhausts sound really bad.......or is it just me?

I've found several Miltek videos and all of them seem to sound like this
